How do you quiet your racing mind so that you can think clearly, or simply have a night of peace, without any negative thinking at all?
In my work as a medical intuitive, I encounter a large number of people who suffer horribly the never ending chatter in their minds keeps them awake when they’d rather sleep, makes them worry about matters that, objectively, don’t warrant so much worry, and can really make their life miserable.
From time to time we all have those voices in our heads that just won’t stop talking. What occurs in the mind is that a lot of competing thoughts are pulling in different directions. Sometimes the mind will play a conversation that we had earlier, over and over again, exploring different outcomes. “If I would have said this__________ then _____________ would have happened.” Then what happens is we get pulled in so many different directions that we end up feeling totally stuck. The outcome is that we don’t have a clear path of which way to go or the focus to take our next step.
The concept that we create our own reality is more widespread than ever before. In our parent’s generation and before, this concept was known only to a few. Those few were mainly mystics and shamans. Now discoveries and experiments in quantum physics prove the truth of this concept. Mystics, shamans and some quantum physicists know that we create our reality by our thoughts, beliefs and perceptions. Creating our own realities start with a single thought. It is for this reason that I am compelled to give you some tips to assist you to do just that.
Since thought is the first step in the manifestation process, it is important to watch and control our thoughts whenever possible. Here a few ways to over-ride the mental body system:
Watch your thoughts: Relax and gently close your eyes. For about 1 minute, easily watch thoughts flowing through your mind. Just watch them, listen to them and observe them, and let them go. If you notice that you are straining, imagine you are putting them into the recycle bin on your computer.
Count your thoughts: Count your thoughts. Begin by gently closing your eyes. Relax and notice the thoughts moving through your mind. Then easily, effortlessly begin to count each thought that comes into your awareness. For example, if you notice the sound of a bird singing outside, count that as thought #1. If you notice a sensation in your body, count that as #2. If you have a thought like, “oh that was a bird singing should I count that?” Count that as #3. And so on, count as many thoughts as you notice.

Re-program your thoughts: Choose an affirmation or statement that you can say over and over again in your mind to cancel out the thoughts. An example might be; I am grateful to be calm and peaceful or I am happy and grateful for financial freedom.
Take some White Chestnut (flower essence) by Bach: http://www.bachflower.com/38_Essences.htm#WhiteChestnut
“For those who cannot prevent thoughts, ideas, arguments which they do not desire from entering their minds. Usually at such times when the interest of the moment is not strong enough to keep the mind full. Thoughts which worry and still remain, or if for a time thrown out, will return. They seem to circle round and round and cause mental torture. The presence of such unpleasant thoughts drives out peace and interferes with being able to think only of the work or pleasure of the day.” – Dr. Edward Bach
6. Breathe into your thoughts: Bring your awareness to your breathing and follow the in and out breath for a few cycles. Continue focusing on the breath.
Breathe in and say, “peace and stillness” in your mind
Breathe out and say, “goodbye” in your mind
And above all; always remember that wherever you are is perfect. You are in the perfect position to get there from here, it all starts with what you think!
Wishing you all Peace of Mind,
